Chennai Super Kings is one IPL franchise that has proved its worth numerous times. It lifted the
prestigious IPL Trophy thrice in 2010, 2011 and 2018. In fact, they hold the record of entering the playoff
stage in every IPL season that they have played. Even last year, they gave a tough competition to the
season winners Mumbai Indians in the finale match.
As the rule goes, a season of Indian Premier League begins with a showdown between the defending
champions and first runners-up of the previous season. This means that this year’s IPL is going to
commence with an action-packed match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians on 19th
September 2020 from 7.30 pm at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. This match would also mark the return of
Chennai Super Kings IPL Team Captain MS Dhoni to competitive cricket after a long break.


The CSK Team Players would then play against Rajasthan Royals on 22nd September 2020 at Sharjah
Cricket Stadium. The third Chennai Super Kings IPL 2020 match will be against Delhi Capitals at Dubai
International Stadium on 25th September 2020. They would then be playing against Sunrisers
Hyderabad on 2nd October 2020 at the Dubai International Stadium.
After a day’s gap, the fans will get to see Chennai Super Kings go head-on against Kings XI Punjab at the
same stadium on 4th October 2020. The sixth match of the franchise is against Kolkata Knight Riders on
7th October 2020 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. The team would then come face to face against Royal
Challengers Bangalore on 10th October 2020 at Dubai International Stadium.


The team’s second match against Sunrisers Hyderabad is on 13th October 2020 at Dubai International
Stadium. The team would once again play against Delhi Capitals on 17th October 2020 at Sharjah Cricket
Stadium. The next Chennai Super Kings IPL team match is on 19th October 2020. It is going to take place
at Sheikh Zayed Stadium against Rajasthan Royals. The team would then once again face Mumbai
Indians on 23rd October 2020 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. It would be worth watching if the team can
take revenge for its last year. After resting for a day, CSK would have to play with Royal Challengers
Bangalore on 25th October 2020 at Dubai International Stadium.


The penultimate league match of the team is against Kolkata Knight Riders on 29th October 2020 at
Dubai International Stadium and the ultimate CSK IPL Team 2020 Match is against Kings XI Punjab on 1st
November 2020 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.


All the above matches are scheduled at 7.30 pm IST.


The above matches would decide if the franchise would be able to keep its record of entering all
qualifiers unbroken. The fans of the team are definitely rooting for it and then they will get to see the
team play a few more matches. At this moment, it can only be speculated if the team would get to play
more matches. The fans are however excited to see their beloved CSK in the finals once again.
